Daniel “Bundy” Michael Llamas, 56, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on October 3, 2018 at the Healthcare Resort in Topeka. Daniel was born May 23, 1962. Son of David and Esperanza Llamas.
Daniel attended Topeka High School. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs football fan as well as a Jayhawks fan. He loved to throw horseshoes with his family and cared deeply about everyone’s children. Daniel treasured the Fourth of July and Halloween. He would love to dress up and run around and scare people while they were trick or treating. You would always find him with a sack of candy, preferably Jolly Ranchers, handing them out to children, just to make their day a little brighter. Daniel was one gifted cook. He was most famous for his ribs and his pan-fried tacos. He loved his family fiercely and they will always remember the amazing times they all spent together.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Lupe Vega, brother David Llamas, and niece Laura Vega.
Daniel is survived by his four sons, Daniel (Jamie) Llamas, Damien (Krystal) Llamas, Duane (Ashly) Llamas, and Devin Llamas all of Topeka; his three step children, Erik Swiercinsky, Natalie Larson, and Whitney Watson; twenty grandchildren, and one great grandchild; three sisters, Lola Davenport, Linda (Kevin) Coffman, Lisa (Joseph) Flores; and brother Douglas (Kama) Llamas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Brennan Mathena Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m.
