David Oliver, 59, of Topeka, passed away, September 27, 2018 at Midland Hospice. David was born on February 11, 1959 in Topeka. Son of James and Beverly Parnell Oliver.
David graduated from Highland Park High School in 1977. He worked as a laborer for Payless for majority of his life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Catholic Church. David loved to be outside. He was very involved in golfing and fishing and of course his cat Breezy. You would always find David watching his favorite major league baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.
David is preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his daughter Katherine Lovett of Topeka, brother Mike Oliver of Topeka, nephews Andy Oliver of Topeka, Sargent Aaron Oliver of Fort Cell, Oklahoma, and Adam Oliver of Topeka, granddaughter Kassidy Lovett and Roger Lovett of Topeka, and ex wife Lori Hilton.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Brennan Mathena Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. with rosary starting at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in the care of Brennan Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, Kansas 66603.
