Phillip Dean Taliaferro

Phillip Dean Taliaferro, 76, of Topeka, KS died July 30, 2018.

He was born January 15, 1942 in Topeka, the son of James and Louise (Herboldsheimer) Taliaferro

Phillip was a retired Topeka Police Officer.

He was married to Marilyn A. McCoy on July 7, 1962 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Topeka.  She preceded him in death on January 21, 2016.  Phillip is survived by his children, Amy Taliaferro and Joseph (Elizabeth) Taliaferro, a brother, Don (Ruth) Taliaferro, two grandchildren, Phillip Taliaferro and Katherine Anne Taliaferro, all of Topeka.

Phillip will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Fraternal Order of Police sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
