Becky A. Kirkwood

Becky A. Kirkwood, 54, of Topeka, KS died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus. She was born February 24, 1964 in Rome, NY.  Becky was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She graduated from Topeka High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Washburn University, currently working as a Register Nurse at the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus. Becky married Dwight Kirkwood at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on November 27, 1982.  He survives.  Other survivors include their three children, Joseph Kirkwood of Topeka, Matthew (Kelly) Kirkwood of Olathe, Sarah (Jason) Dunham of Crete, NE ,two siblings, Keith and Tracy Cowger along with four beloved grandchildren, Madynn Dunham, Kinley Kirkwood, Kaden Dunham and Caleb Kirkwood.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor. She will be remembered for never meeting a stranger and endless love she showed to her grandchildren, they were her world. Becky’s family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church.  Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
