Raymond J. Hunninghake

Raymond J. Hunninghake, 61, of Topeka, passed away June 19, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 29, 1956 the son of Leo and Juanita (Hefner) Hunninghake Jr.

Raymond was an avid K-State Chiefs fan.

He was a very proud dad and PaPa who enjoyed spending time with his children.  He will be most remembered by his grandchildren for always being there for them and going above and beyond to support them any way he could.

He married Donna Mathewson on June 4, 1977 at St. Matthew Catholic Church.  She survives.  He is also survived by his children, Jason (Kristen) Hunninghake, Jessica (Shaun) Bowers, Rebecca (Jared) Phillips, and Christopher (Amanda) Hunninghake, his siblings, Michael Hunninghake, Anita Vawter, and David Hunninghake, and his grandchildren, Ashley, Jaidon, Brandon, Peyton, Dylan, Hailey, Logan, Cashton, Colton, Brody, Laken and Mason.  His parents preceded him in death.

Raymond will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. followed by his family receiving friends until 8:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia, Topeka.  Cremation will follow.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
