Cynthia Ann Rickert, 65, of Topeka, died March 4, 2018 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born in Rockford, Illinois on April 27, 1952 the daughter of Francis Ernest and Juanita Marian (Zuck) Weiss.
Cynthia graduated from Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska. She taught school at several locations and at the Topeka Lutheran School in Topeka. She was also a floral designer for Dillon’s.
She enjoyed music, reading, traveling, dancing, concerts, cooking and floral designing.
Cynthia married Marvin Bruce Raymond Rickert in 1974 in Seward, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Heather (Derek) Meinholdt of Edmond, Oklahoma, a son, Adrian Rickert (Sara Parks) of Topeka, her significant other, Mike Oliver of the home, his sons, Andy Oliver of Topeka, Aaron (Kristina) Oliver of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and Adam (Jen) Oliver of Topeka, and her grandchildren, Emma and Luke Meinholdt, Dawson, Rossalyn and Noah Oliver.
Cynthia was cremated. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10th at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery.
