Margarita Rivera

Margarita Rivera, 71, of Topeka, KS died February 16, 2018 at Stormont-Vail Hospital

She was born in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico on January 22, 1947. Margarita was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

She married Anastasio Aguirre-Mendez in Parral, Mexico. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2013. Survivors include her children, Cecilia Aguirre, Olga Aguirre both of Mexico, Maricela Aguirre, Alberto Aguirre, Luz Miramontes, Delia Aguirre, Rodrigo Aguirre and Perla Aguirre all of Topeka, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Jorge Aguirre.

Margarita will lie in state after 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where the family will receive friends until 9:00 P.M. with a Parish Rosary being prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
