Eugene Lee Turner, 57, of Topeka, died February 11, 2018 at the House at Midland Care.
He was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 5, 1960 the son of Elvin Lee and Clara Ann (Kleinsorge) Turner.
He worked as a dishwasher and prep cook for several restaurants.
Eugene was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed walking and was an avid sports fan supporting the KU Jayhawks, Kansas City Chiefs and the KC Royals.
He is survived by his sister, Pauline Turner of Pueblo, Colorado, his nieces and nephews; Jeremy (Kim) Turner, Maria (Michael) Dressman, Douglas Turner, Bobbie Goodman, and Shawna Goodman, two great nieces, Elizabeth and Marianne Dressman, and great nephew, Heath Turner.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of his life at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be in the Scranton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Midland PACE Program and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
