Nancy Rae Spencer

Nancy Rae Spencer, 61, of Topeka, died on February 7, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 13, 1956 the daughter of Delmer Ray and Marjorie Jean (Brannan) Royer. 

Nancy was a graduate of Hayden High School and a member of the catholic faith.  She worked for Westar Energy in several capacities and most recently as a Material Handler.

She enjoyed yard work, flower gardening, trees, reading, music and especially her puppies.  Nancy also enjoyed antique collecting. 

Nancy was married to Dean R. Spencer on June 8, 1990.  He survives of the home.  She is also survived by her sons, Eric (Krystal) Montague of Shawnee, Ks., Nathan (Kara) Montague of Bonner Springs, Ks., a step-son, Dustin (Kristi) Spencer of Tecumseh, four grandchildren, Rory and Ryder Montague and Elli and Johnny Spencer, and her siblings, Paula (Dennis) Lieler of Peoria, AZ., Danny (Jane) Royer of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and David Royer of Topeka. 

Nancy will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Sunday where her family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery.
