Gary P. Dashnaw

Gary P. Dashnaw, 60, of Topeka, KS died November 25, 2017 at his home.

He was born September 4, 1957 in Topeka, the son of Raymond and Rosemary (Weigel) Dashnaw.

Gary was a member of the Metropolitan Community Church, where he was a member of the choir. For many years he would join the choir to sing during the Midnight Christmas Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by two brothers, Raymond (Karen) Dashnaw of Topeka, Daniel Dashnaw of Leavenworth and many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Rosemary.

He will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Metropolitan Community Church, 4425 SW 19th Street. Cremation will follow. Private inurnment will be at later date at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Helping Hands Humane Society, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
