Victoria M. Franco, 91, of Topeka, passed away November 14, 2017.
She was born in Chicago, IL on June 8, 1926 - the daughter of Antonio and Ventura (Litnan) Morales.
Victoria graduated from the University of Saint Mary School of Nursing in 1948.
She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, sports, and gardening. Victoria was a fan of baseball, basketball, and football. In her later years she enjoyed her pineapple pie and stashed away the candy she won in Bingo.
Victoria married Jose Franco, Sr. in Topeka, Kansas on June 4, 1949. He preceded her in death in 2013. She is survived by her four children; Robert (Lynn) Franco, Yolanda (Charles) Crupper, Joseph Franco, Jr., and Vicki A. Franco; four grandchildren, Wendy, Charles III, Ashley, and Tyler; and two great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Kate.
Victoria will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday after 1:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home to assist his family and sent in care of 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
