Joseph Daniel Irwin, passed away on July 28, 2017 at a local hospital surrounded by his family. He gave the gift of life through organ donation, touching many lives.
He was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 7, 1998 the son of Daniel “Scott” Irwin and Amy Renee Solis.
Joseph was getting ready to begin an apprenticeship with his father who is a Crane Operator for TNT Crane and Rigging in Houston, Texas.
Joseph was very athletic and played basketball and football. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma City Thunder fan. Joseph loved animals especially his bulldog, Sterling. He loved people, did not know a stranger, and had a great sense of humor. Joe spent most of his time with his family and friends who will dearly miss him.
He is survived by his parents, Scott (Corrie) Irwin of Crystal Beach, TX, Amy Solis of Topeka, his siblings, Marissa Irwin (Tyler VanderStaay) of Kansas City, MO, Trey Irwin (Destiny Leone) of Topeka, London Lee Lewis and Skye Forgy of Crystal Beach, TX and Joshua Forgy of Topeka, his grandparents, Betty Williams of Topeka, Dale (Marie) Irwin of Crystal Beach, TX, Laura Walden of Topeka, a great grandmother, Shirley Solis of Topeka, and uncles, Michael (Leslie) Davis and Dakota Williams of Topeka, Chantel Irwin of Magnolia, TX and Jaime (Eva) Johnson of Pearland, TX.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Joseph’s Life at 7:00 p.m. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home in his memory to be designated by his family at a later date.
