Juletta L. “Julie” Seel, 85, of Topeka, KS died July 21, 2017 at her home. She was born February 17, 1932 in Flush, KS the daughter of Aloysius “Slim” and Sara (Bennett) Muller. Julie owned and operated Julie’s Hobby Hut for over 25 years. She was a member of Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church and was an active founder of Widowed Persons. Julie married Clarence Seel on August 27, 1952 at Assumption Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1983. She is survived by a son, Rodney (Sue) Seel, a sister, Mary (Neal) Simnitt, three brothers, Earl (Jean) Muller, Carroll Muller and Eugene (Peggy) Muller. Four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Seel and a brother Lawrence Muller. Julie will lie in state after 2:00 pm Monday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Following the rosary the family will receive friends until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Mater Dei Building Fund, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
