Carole Guerrero

Carole Lydia Guerrero, 77, of Topeka, died June 12, 2017 at Plaza West Regional Health Care. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 1, 1939 the daughter of Candelario and Modesta (Servantez) Guerrero. Carole loved listening to music, dancing and partying. She enjoyed watching KU and the Royals play. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Samuel Guerrero, and three sisters, Lupe Mitchell, Carmen Llamas, and Margaret Gutierrez. Survivors include two brothers, Richard Guerrero (Linda Brookshire) and Candido Guerrero Jr. (Ernestina), three sisters, Sarah Mosqueda, Rachel Rodriguez and Rebecca Guerrero, and many nieces and nephews. The family requests that those attending wear KU clothing. Carole will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Services will follow at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will then take place. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
