Roman Fajardo Lopez

Roman Fajardo Lopez, 62, of Topeka, died January 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Guatemala on August 9, 1954 the son of Secundino Fajardo Vivar and Catalina Lopez.  Roman enjoyed fishing and sightseeing at Perry Lake and Lake Shawnee.  He married Margaret Rodriguez in Emporia, Kansas on March 5, 1996.  She survives.  He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Lupe Rodriguez and Lisa Mandez , a nephew, Michael Rodriguez and three nieces, Annita Rodriguez, Cindy Rodriguez and Mary Real.  Roman will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Sunday after 2:00 p.m. where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Cremation will follow the mass.  Memorial contributions may be made to Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home to assist his family and sent in care of 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas  66603.
