Irma Delores “Becky” Burke, 96, of Topeka, KS died November 17, 2016 at the House at Midland Care.
She was born August 30, 1920 in Farmer, SD the daughter of Henry and Margaret “Foley” Becker.
Becky was a homemaker and a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she volunteered with Sister Ann to give communion with Homebound. She was the past president of Welcome Wagon and enjoyed needlepoint, ceramics, gardening and baking.
Becky married Lt. Col USAF Ret. Virgil L. Burke on November 5, 1945 he proceeded her in death in 1981. She is survived by a son, John Burke, of Topeka, KS, daughter, Pamela Hester of Cypress, TX, granddaughters, Kelly Young and her husband, Dr. Bryan Young and their children, Cullen, Corbin and Ella of Houston, TX, Kristy Fisher and her husband Casey and their Children Wyatt, Noah and Madeline of Austin, TX.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Ft. Riley Post Cemetery.
