Jacqueline A. Rohrke, 67, of Topeka, KS died November 17, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
She was born October 20, 1949 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Joseph and Geraldine (Biittner) Tylski.
Jackie graduated beauty school and was a hairdresser before becoming a Para-Professional in the Auburn-Washburn School District and most recently worked at the Washburn Rural High School.
She enjoyed crafts, drawing, cooking, traveling and baking cookies. Jackie was a very caring person and caregiver. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was also an animal lover.
Jackie married Keith Allen Rohrke in Omaha, Nebraska on January 12, 1975. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2007. She is survived by a daughter Martha (Donnie) Jeffery of Grand Prairie, TX, sons, Jeffrey Rohrke of Tecumseh, Stephen (Sarah) Rohrke of Topeka and Joseph Rohrke of Bremerton, Washington, her siblings, Susan (Gary) Mann of Omaha, Criag (Ginny) Tylski of Omaha, Beverly (Daniel) Adams of Omaha, Mark (Mayumi Saito) Tylski of Japan, James (Cindy) Tylski of Memphis, Nebraska, Barbara (Andy) Krolikowski of Omaha, and Dan (Patricia) Tylski of Platte City, Mo., and eight grandchildren, David, Kaleb, Luke, Maria, Adilynn, Rhett, Fierra and Gwendolyn.
Jackie will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Sunday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
