Janet Marie Reisinger, 71, of Topeka, passed away November 4, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born on March 13, 1945, to James and Dorothy (Warman) Morlan. Janet was a very loving and generous person who enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and shopping at antique stores, garage sales, and thrift shops. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Janet was a cook at Northern Hills and later Seaman Middle School for 24 years. Janet married George Robert Reisinger on May 27, 1962 in Clayton, NM. He predeceased her on June 25, 2002. Survivors include four children, Debbie (Gary) Wilson, Mike Reisinger, Regina Nickelson, Bobby (Tracy) Reisinger, and a grandson George which she raised, all of Topeka, siblings, Michiel (Shirley) Morlan, of Kit Carson, CO and Patti Smith of Colorado Springs, CO, 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren on the way. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl and a sister, Pam Coen, and by her parents, James and Dorothy Morlan. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. She will be cremated. Memorial contributions are suggested for Pappan’s Landing sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
