Manuel G. Arredondo, Sr.

Manuel G. Arredondo, Sr., 97, of Topeka, KS, died August 21, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor.  He was born in Topeka, on December 7, 1918, the son of Jacinto and Tomasa (Gonzalez) Arredondo.  Manuel retired from the City of Topeka where he worked for the Topeka Water Pollution Control.  He married Vicenta “Vicky” Gomez in Salina, KS on October 30, 1939.  She preceded him in death on January 28, 2002.  Survivors include his children; Manuel (Delores) Arredondo, Jr., Daniel (Josephine) Arredondo, Sr., Edward (Laura) Arredondo, I, all of Topeka, Juanita Lutz, Eureka, KS, Margaret Lee, Buhler, KS, and Diane (Joe) Morris, Mountain Home, ID.  Sixteen grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren also survive.  Manuel will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  A Parish Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church or Midland Care Hospice sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
