Ruth Marvine Merriman

Ruth Marvine Merriman, 96, of Topeka, KS died June 22, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.  She was born March 21, 1920 in Kinnikinnick, OH the daughter of Elmer and Susan (Saltz) Good.  Ruth retired as an assembly worker for General Motors in Flint, MI.  She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed crafts, playing cards and bingo.  Ruth married Robert LeRoy Merriman on February 20, 1943 in Mobile, AL.  He preceded her in death on December 23, 1992.  She is survived by three children, Janet Merriman of Marysville, MI, Kathleen (Mike) Barnard of Tecumseh, Robert Merriman of Topeka, five grandsons, Duane Marshall, Darrell (Cindy) Marshall, Daniel (Penni) Marshall, David (Michele) Ebmeyer and Tracy (Rosie) Ebmeyer.  Nine great-grandchildren, Justin Marshall, Devin Marshall, Alex Marshall, Rachel Marshall, Parker Marshall, Owen Marshall, Alex Ebmeyer, Tanner Ebmeyer, Lucas Ebmeyer , five step great-grandchildren, Justin Halloway, Casey Halloway, Rollin Robertson, Cody Beaver and Danyel Beaver also survive.  She was preceded in death by eight siblings.  Ruth was cremated.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Susan G.
