Adelia Rose Martinez

Adelia Rose Martinez, 68, of Overland Park, KS, formerly of Topeka, died May 29, 2016 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.  She was born in Topeka on June 21, 1947, the daughter of Jose R. and Virginia (Estrada) Martinez.  Adelia is survived by her four children, Luis, Paul Jr., Bernadette, and Michael, three sisters, Ruth Campos, of Topeka, Virginia Smith, of Graten, NE, Priscilla Martinez, of Topeka, and numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Rachel Lucero, Celia Soriano, Paula Padilla, Daniel Martinez, Sylvia Rameriz, and Pablo Martinez.  She was cremated.  A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
