Rosemarie Doucette, 59, of Topeka, died April 29, 2016 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born October 27, 1956 in San Bernardino, CA the daughter of Melvin and Marlene (Faber) Middendorf. Rosemarie was a graduate of Highland Park High School and eceived a Bachelor of Arts degree from Friends University in Wichita. She held several positions during her 30 years of employment at Blue Cross Blue Shield retiring in 2012, after retirement she continued to work part-time at Menards. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with family and spoiling her grandchildren. She married Gary Doucette on October 19, 1974 at Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka. He Survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Doucette, Aimee (Harold) Koerperich all of Topeka, two sisters, Laurie Pfister of Lawton, OK, Melissa Middendorf of Topeka, two brothers, Karman Hoppens of Topeka, Terry Middendorf of Meriden. Four grandchildren, Anthony Brown, Cheyenne Brown, Conner Koerperich and Mason Koerperich also survive. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Keith Doucette. She will lie in state after 3:00 pm Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
