Patricia Treglawn “Pat” Ross, 80, passed away Monday afternoon April 18th, 2016 in Wichita, KS. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on March 30, 1936 to Harry and Helen Treglawn. Pat was raised in Daytona Beach, FL and Richmond, VA. She lived most of her adult life in Topeka, moving there in 1973. She graduated with her B.S. in Social Work from Washburn University and she worked for Department of Social and Rehabilitative Services in both Child Protective and Adult Rehabilitative Services. She had a great love of animals and volunteered at the Topeka Public Zoo and for the Helping Hands Humane Society. She loved the many dogs, horses and cats that lived with her throughout the years. In recent years, she was a parishioner at Westside Christian Church. Prior to moving to Topeka, Pat lived in Charlotte, NC and Wilbraham, MA. In Wilbraham, she was heavily involved in the Wilbraham Community Theater including performances of Carnival, Paint Your Wagon, and South Pacific. She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Mark) Isley, son, Stephen (Margery) Ross, grandchildren, Stephen, Aaron (Kaitlin), Jessica (fiancé John), Alexandra, Gwenyth, and great- granddaughter, Julia. Pat was preceded in death by her two older sisters Ruth and Barbara. Pat will lie in state after 9:00 AM Wednesday at Westside Christian Church where the family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Westside Christian Church or Helping Hands Human Society sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
