Frances Tunison

Frances Tunison, 92, of Topeka, died March 27, 2016 at her home.

She was born in Fostoria, Kansas on March 14, 1924 the daughter of Don and Delia (McClellan) Reves. She was a 1942 graduate of Westmoreland High School.

Frances was a tax clerk for the Kansas Department of Revenue.

She enjoyed baking and quilting.

She married Cecil Tunison on June 29, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2006.  Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Opal Smith and Edna Mae Taylor.

Frances is survived by her son, David (Judith) Tunison of Topeka, a grandson, Christopher (Natalie) Tunison of Beaverton, Oregon a great-granddaughter, Violet, a sister, Verla (LeRoy) Webster of Westmoreland, Ks., a brother, Lyle (Laura Mae) Reves of Osage City, Ks. and many nieces and nephews.

Frances will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday after 2:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be at 5:30 p.m. followed by the family receiving friends until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
