Loretta Niederhauser-Boursaw

December 12, 1942 — March 25, 2016

Loretta Niederhauser-Boursaw, 73, of Topeka, died at the House at Midland Care.

She was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 12, 1942 the daughter of Lorenzo and Serafina Blanco.

She was a graduate of Ottawa High School and took college courses at K-State and Washburn University.

Loretta was a Plant Production Supervisor for American Bindery.

She enjoyed baking, flower gardening, playing solitare, going to the casino, but especially she loved spending time with her family. Loretta baked many dozen cookies each month for United States troops that served overseas.  She was always thinking of others and put her family first, even at a young age, helping her parents, sisters, and brother.

She is survived by her companion, Lyman Boursaw, her children, Sera Moseley (Andre Sr.) of Dallas, TX, and Edward Niederhauser of Topeka, her siblings, Cindy Ogan of St. Louis, Missouri, Angie Luttjohann of Lawrence, Kansas, Carolyn Blanco, Katherine Howell, Anna Zeller, Beatrice Mikell, Larry Blanco, Mary Gilbert and Rita Williams, all of Topeka.  Also surviving are her grandchildren; SeTerra Carr, Jennifer Knight, Kimberly Welton, Antonio Moseley, Andre Moseley Jr., Marquies Tinsley, Marckiues Tinsley, Anthony Frazier, and her great-grandchildren; Tyler Chase, Aaron Welton and David Welton.  Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Michelle Lynn Sharp.

Loretta will lie in state from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice Care, American Cancer Society, Red Cross or the Salvation Army and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 S.W. 6th Avenue  Topeka, Kansas 66603.  Following the graveside service, a luncheon will be served at St. Matthew Catholic Church.
