William "Bill" Holloman

William “Bill” Holloman, 88, Topeka, KS died March 18, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living. He was born July 17, 1927, in Osawatomie, KS, the son of Virgil and Grace (Troxel) Holloman. William served in the US Navy during WW II. He was an auditor and accountant for AT & SF Railroad, from which he retired in 1987. William married Jeanne Hesse on August 16, 1951 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on January 21, 1998. He later married Dorothy Bullock Huerter on January 14, 2000. She survives. Other survivors include five children: Steven (Veronica) Holloman, Kristina Rowan, James (Melissa) Holloman, Janice (Steve) Carroll, and Scott (Gina) Holloman, along with three step-children, Linda (Ken) Wickstrum, Mike (Sheryl) Huerter, and Patty (Harold) Ramsey.  A brother, Kenneth Holloman, thirteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren also survive. Bill was also preceded in death by a son, Craig Holloman, a son-in-law, Reuben Rowan, a grandson, Noah Holloman, and a great-granddaughter, Samantha Goodwin. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
