Steven K. Brosemer

Steven “Steve” Brosemer, 64, of Topeka, died March 8, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on January 27, 1952 the son of Lawrence “Jack” and Verna (Kellum) Brosemer. Steve married Rdella Pittman in Topeka, Kansas on October 19, 1979. They later divorced. He enjoyed working on cars, going to garage sales and tinkering on anything that needed to be fixed. He is survived by his children, Cheryl Brosemer of Saint Augusta, MN and William Brosemer of Topeka, his siblings, Barbara Rhoads of Topeka, Patricia Rodriguez of Topeka, Catherine Spangler of Broomfield, CO, and Larry Brosemer of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Winifred Eastwood. Steve will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church, 1114 West Tenth. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
