Marcella Ann Ingenthron (Marcy) was born on February 19, 1927, and went peacefully in her sleep to be with her Lord on February 14, 2016 at the age of 88. Marcella was born in Topeka, Kansas to Romanus and Lillian Ingenthron who preceded her in death. She had one younger brother Robert B. Ingenthron and his wife Shirley Joan who also preceded her in death.
She attended Hayden High school and went on to work for the Santa Fe Railroad her entire career. Marcella loved fashion and jewelry and was always known to look her best. She had an incredible wit and made everyone who was around her laugh and smile. She saw the best in everyone! She devoted her life to her Catholic faith and attended mass at Christ the King church for many years until she was no longer able.
She is preceded in death by her nephew Matthew J. Ingenthron and Robert B. Ingenthron. She is survived by her loving nephews Kurt Ingenthron, Eric Ingenthron, Mike and wife Mary Ingenthron and her nephew Doug and wife Rosalyn Ingenthron, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Doug and Rosalyn would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her dear friend Lois McPhail who was her special angel. We would also like to thank all of the staff at McCrite Plaza who loved and cared for her so dearly. Marcella gave pure and unconditional love to those who were in her life.
Marcella will lie in state at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5972 SW 25th St., on Wednesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 where her family will receive friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
