Christopher Joseph Gomez

Christopher Joseph Gomez, 53, of Topeka died December 3, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. Christopher was born on November 7, 1962 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Angel and Rebecca (Padilla) Gomez.  He graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn Technical School.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.  He was a member of A.A. where he was a mentor to others. Survivors include his brother, Daniel Gomez of Valley Falls, step-father Delbert Guthrie, and his step-mother Carmen, both of Topeka.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Pete Gomez. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends.  A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 p.m.   Inurnment will be at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be given to Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 S.W. 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66603.
