Randy Eugene Main, 44, of Topeka, died November 16, 2015 at his home. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 23, 1971 the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Main Sr. He was a graduate of Topeka High School. Randy served his country in the U.S. Army from 1989 to 2013 and was stationed in Iraq. He was disabled due to injuries sustained in the war. While in the Army Randy worked in many capacities including, Fire Support Specialist, 31B10 Military Police, 13F30 Field Support Services, NCO Warrior Leader and spent 2 ½ years with the funeral detail. He received numerous awards and citations. Randy was a member of the Patriot Guard and the American Legion. Randy loved to ride his Harley, fishing, and listening to his scanner with the Topeka Scanner Group. He married Debra Joanne Tibbits in Topeka, Kansas on August 25, 1995. She survives of the home. Also surviving are their children, Jacob (Cayla) Main and Kristen Main of Topeka, his mother, Karel Main of the home, his birth mother, Linda Sink of Ottawa, brother, William “Bill” Main of Perry, Ks., a granddaughter, Kendall Main and his father and mother in law, Duane and Delres Tibbits Sr. of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his father, James Main Sr. on May 11, 2008, his brother, James “Jimmy” Main Jr. on July 8, 1999, and his sister Tammy Lynn Main on June 23, 1970. Randy will lie in state on Thursday where the family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 500 SW 27th Street. Interment will follow in the Scranton Cemetery where military honors will be provided.
