Jeannette Luna

Jeannette Luna, 85, of Topeka, passed away on November 8, 2015 at Alma Manor. She was born January 20, 1930, in Ocilla, Georgia, the daughter of John and Annie (Purvis) Gray. Jeannette enjoyed quilting, reading, vegetable gardening, puzzles and was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Kansas City Royals. She married Fernando Nicholas Delgado, they divorced and he preceded her in death. Jeanette married Margarito "Margo" Luna on August 5, 1977 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2004. Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Penrod and Judy Delgado Gomez, both of Topeka, and Teresa "Tess" Berroth of Alma, grandchildren, Gary Penrod, Mark Penrod, Angela Clarke, Emily Delgado, and Alicia Delgado-Gomez, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, siblings, Daphine Spratlin, Sara May McCall, Kenneth Gray, and Roger Gray. She was preceded in death by her siblings, John, Wilbur, Cecil, Geneva and C.J. Jeannette will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 S.W. 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66603, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 13th, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
