Michal James Elliott Sr.

Michal James Elliott, Sr. 76, of Scranton, passed away on October 29, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 31, 1939 the son of Clarence and Frances (Brown) Elliott. Mike was a Certified Master Auto Mechanic most of his life and after retirement worked in Patient Transport for Stormont-Vail Hospital. He was a member of the Scranton Lions Club and past member of the Moose Lodge in Arizona. Mike married Margaret White in Topeka on October 12, 1956. She preceded him in death on August 5, 2012. He was also predeceased by an infant son, John. He is survived by his six children, Michal Elliott Jr. of Scranton, Helen Rosenbaum of Topeka, Earl (Brenda) Elliott of Wisconsin, Peggy (Chuck) Kunkel of Scranton, Tammy Wrather of Von Ormy, TX., and Samuel Elliott of Scranton, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A sharing of memories will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5th, at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, followed by the receiving of friends until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
