Mildred G. "Millie" Frigon-Burns, age 98, of Topeka, died October 23, 2015 at the House at Midland Care. Millie was born on September 16, 1917 in Cloud County, Kansas the daughter of Charles and Rosa (Bliss) Demanett. She was a Department Head Manager for Sears, Roebuck and Company. Millie loved sports and played golf, softball and bowled. She also traveled extensively and enjoyed doing genealogy. Millie was a member and past President of the Women of the Moose, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Prime Timers Club, Red Hat Club, Women's Club, NARE and Christ the King Catholic Church where she also volunteered. Millie married Wilford B. Frigon in 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1979. They had two daughters, Darlene Boese and Bernadine Lentz who also predeceased her. On August 13, 1981 she married Clarence Burns who died in 1995. Also preceding her in death were seven brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her son-in-law, Gary Lentz of St. Joseph, Mo., three sisters, Dorothy, Margaret and Beulah, five grandchildren ~ Robin Young, Randy, Michael and Steven Boese, and Susan Reif-Jensen, four great grandchildren ~ Kenneth, Mariah, Zachariah and Jakob, and five great-great grandchildren ~ Alexis, Taveon, Tylan, Nevaeh, and Jaslynn. Millie will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Monday after 2:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. next to her husband Wilford.
