Marguerite Robinson, 87, of Topeka, died October 8, 2015 at her home. She was born on July 7, 1928 in Topeka, the youngest of 11 children to Joseph and Magdalena (Ludwig) Miller. She was in the first graduating class from Hayden High School. She married Vernon Robinson on December 28, 1946. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1999. Marguerite owned and operated the Ludwighoff Winery in Eskridge where she specialized in Elderberry and Cherry wines. She enjoyed doing puzzles and gardening. Marguerite was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Women's Auxiliary and Philip Billard VFW Post #1650 Women's Auxiliary. Marguerite is survived by her daughters, Ret. Msgt. Jean Robinson and her husband Larry Barnes, and Jan Robinson, all of Topeka, two grandchildren, Travis L. (Ami) Fife of Meriden and Lindsay Hope (Dave, deceased) Dowell of Belton, Texas, and 6 great-grandchildren. She will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Monday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m., followed by a visitation until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
