Billie JoAnn Lemberger

Billie JoAnn Lemberger, 78, of Overbrook, KS, died October 6, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born January 14, 1937 in Fredonia, KS the daughter of Boyd and Flossie (Thompson) Estes. JoAnn attended Fredonia Schools. She was a bookkeeper for Heetco Inc., retiring after 21 ½ years. JoAnn enjoyed sewing, creating porcelain dolls, having coffee with her friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married Jack Smith in 1955 in Fredonia to whom five children were born. She later married Francis Lemberger in 1983. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Quinton Schutter. She is survived by her children, Brian (Mona) Smith of Frankfort, Lauri Smith, Jodi (Marty) Buchmeier, and Brad Smith all of Overbrook, and Karla Land of Auburn. Ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. JoAnn will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Friday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Funeral service will be 11:30 A.M.Saturday at the Overbrook United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Overbrook Cemetery.
