Salvador Guerrero, 86, of Topeka, died September 18, 2015 at his home. He was born on August 27, 1929 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the son of Delfino and Magdalena (Delgado) Guerrero. Salvador married Teresa Juarez in Kansas City in 1956. She predeceased him on January 4, 1991. He was a painter for the Santa Fe Railroad where he was employed for over 46 years. Salvador is survived by three daughters, Gloria (Francisco) Febles, Tammye A. Guerrero and Sandra S. Guerrero, three sons, Jerry D. Guerrero, Anthony R. (Laura) Guerrero and Tommy D. (Connie) Guerrero all of Topeka, two brothers, Raymond and Benjamin Guerrero both of Topeka, four sisters, Connie (Joven) Garcia of Texas, Loretta (Tommy) Ortiz of Kansas City, MO, Isabel Hernandez of Topeka and Sara Gillen of Kansas City, MO, 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Salvador will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
