Paul O. Hernandez, 84, of Topeka, died September 1, 2015 at Plaza West Care Home. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on January 15, 1931 the son of Victor and Luz (Olmos) Hernandez. Paul owned and operated Jade's Music and Games. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was a handyman and could fix anything. He enjoyed music and family was very important to him especially enjoying family gatherings and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandson. He married Christina Gutierrez on September 30, 1949 in Topeka. They later divorced and she preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by two sons, Michael J. Hernandez and Vincent D. Gutierrez. He is survived by his children, Nina D. Hernandez, Susanna M. Hernandez and Deb (Jeffery) Hunter, a daughter-in-law, Lorie Hernandez, three grandchildren, Jade Warren, Monica Kieffer and Michael James Hernandez II, and a great-grandson, Jameson Warren. He will lie in state at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
