Donald D. Eastwood

Donald D. "Bucket" Eastwood, 75, of Topeka, died August 15, 2015 at Manor Care. Don served in the United States Navy from 1960 until 1964. Over the years, he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was married to Winifred Ann Brosemer on June 13, 1964 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2001. He is survived by his children: Jeffrey Eastwood and Nancy Shoemaker, both of Topeka, and Pam Meakins (Darrell) of Kansas City, Missouri, a sister Mary Gavin of Emporia, Kansas, and a brother Walter Eastwood of Topeka, and eight grandchildren. Don was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Ezzell. Don was cremated. A memorial visitation will be held at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions may be given to Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603, to be designated at a later date.
