Ronald L. Taylor, 69, of Topeka, died July 23, 2015 at the House at Midland Care. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa on April 30, 1946. He was adopted by Kemp and Doris (Sufficool) Taylor. Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the reserves and retired in 2006 as a Sergeant First Class. He also worked in Auto Body Repair for Midwest Metals. He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church, and enjoyed restoring cars, horses and loved children. Ronald married Linda S. Smith in Lacrosse, Kansas on July 26, 1984. She survives. He is also survived by a son, Ryan (Taylor) Taylor of Overland Park, Kansas, two step sons, Jason and Todd Gager, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Joyce Dvorak, Beverly Huffman and Dixie Durflinger and a brother, Steve Huffman and his biological mother, Dorothy Huffman. Ronald was cremated. A memorial service will be held at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Military services will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Capper Foundation and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
