Ann Elizabeth Turner, 61, of Topeka, died July 4, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. Ann was born on August 16, 1953 in Colony, Kansas, the daughter of Elvin and Clara (Kleinsorge) Turner. She worked for Stormont-Vail Hospital as a housekeeper for over 30 years, retiring in 2010. She then worked for Sheltered Living as a caretaker. Ann was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, collected angels, and loved spending time with her granddaughter, nieces and nephew. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Dressman (Michael) of Carbondale, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Dressman, a brother Eugene Turner of Topeka, a sister Pauline Turner of Pueblo, Colorado, two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother William Turner and a sister Theresa Turner. Ann will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family suggest memorial contributions be given to St. Matthew Catholic Church, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 S.W. 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66603.
