Leon S. Clark, 83, Tecumseh, died July 1, 2015 at The House at Midland Care. He was born May 25, 1932 in Lonaconing, Maryland, the son of Stephen and Bridgett (Miller) Clark. Leon studied Chemical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He worked as a Systems Engineer for I.B.M. retiring in 1990 after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed working on family genealogy. Leon married Shirley Chappell on February 7, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lonaconing, Maryland. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2007. He married Mary Lou Droegemueller on December 27, 2013. She preceded him in death on April 2, 2015. Survivors include his children: Stephen (Lisa) Clark of Tecumseh, Brian (Janelle) Clark of McKinney, Texas, Janice Clark and her fiancé Vince Boreas of Overland Park, Kansas, Teresa (David) Hothan of Tecumseh, his grandchildren: Brett (Lindsay), Patrick (Molly), and Alex Hothan, Ashley, Rebecca, Lauren, and Erica Clark, Bayley and Tanner Clark, a great-grandchild Landry Hothan, a brother Ray Clark of Sarasota, Florida, and a sister Thelma Cutchin of Maryland. Leon will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to Midland Hospice Care, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
