Daniel "Stuff" Serna, 69, of Topeka, died May 13, 2015 at Stormont-Vail emergency room. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 11, 1945 the son of John and Nettie (Del Hierro) Serna. Stuff was a graduate of Hayden High School in 1964. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army where he served during the Vietnam era. He worked for ARMCO Steel for 20 years and then for the City of Topeka, Water Department Street Crew for another 20 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, watching boxing, playing baseball, bowling and especially attending his grandchildren's activities. Stuff married Frankie Mulanax in Topeka, Kansas on April 1, 1972. She survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Season (Anthony) Dominguez of Mayetta, four grandchildren, Elisa, Jason, Jayden and Jaiana Serna, two great grandchildren, Avante and Aviana Jessepe, and four sisters, Rose Marie Ramirez, Celestine Garcia, Josephine Arredondo and Eva Ramirez. He is also survived by Annette, Laura and Treyton Boyer. He donated his body for medical research. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Memorial Mass on Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Military honors will be provided by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #604.
