Mary Elizabeth Force

Mary Force, 71, of Topeka, went to be with the Lord May 8, 2015. She was born in Topeka, on September 27, 1943 the daughter of Henry and Gladys (Stetna) Hohn. Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts and arranging flowers and wreaths. She especially loved taking care of her family. She married Larry Force on November 24, 1962. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2003. Mary is survived by her children Timothy Force of Topeka, Steve Force of Mayetta, Beth Greeve of Topeka, and Kim Force of Topeka, her brothers, Eugene Hohn, Henry Hohn, John Hohn, Kenneth Hohn, Phillip Hohn, nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Mary was also preceded in death by a daughter Shelley Kay Force on March 4, 1966. Mary will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Tuesday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
