Beatrice M. "Beta" Barranco

Beatrice M. "Beta" Barranco, 63, of Topeka, KS died April 29, 2015 at her home. She was born July 9, 1951 in Topeka. Beta was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was an avid KU fan. She held various positions with Hallmark Cards, retiring after 35 years as a Webtron Operator. Beta is survived by a daughter MonaLisa Hobart (Alan), three sisters, Lupe Tinoco (Ray), Teresa Cueva and Angie Villegas (Jesse) all of Topeka. Two grandchildren, Taylor and Marcas Hobart, a step grandson, Brett Cox, a step great-granddaughter, Savannah Cox, along with many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her mother, Genievieve (Serna) Barranco. She was cremated. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Midland Hospice Care, or to Holy Family Catholic School sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
