Amalia L. "Molly" Brown, 99, formerly of Topeka, died April 25, 2015 at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Missouri. She was born in Lincoln County, Kansas on November 23, 1915 the daughter of Joseph W. and Mary Anna (Jurina) Urbanek. She was co-owner with her husband of the Brown's Grocery and Hardware. She later worked for Crosby's and retired as a clerk with the State of Kansas Motor Vehicle Department. Molly was a very good businesswoman. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #503 and the Women's Club at the church. Molly married Roy Brown in Ellsworth, Kansas on July 10, 1934. He preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by four sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her three daughters, Virginia "Ginny" Hill of Bartlett, TN, Shirley (Jack) Wempe of Brooksville, FL, and Barbara Tinoco (Larry Van Meter) of Osage Beach, MO, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Molly will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. where a Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #503 Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. and a Parish Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
