LeRoy "Lee" Heideman, 78, of Topeka, KS, died April 18, 2015 at the House at Midland Care. He was born in Seneca, KS on December 31, 1936 the son of Leo and Josephine (Mulryan) Heideman. Lee attended Benedictine College and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, WI. He was in the banking business for many years and retired in 2003 from the Kansas Department of Revenue. Lee played basketball in his youth and was an avid basketball fan. He enjoyed his dogs and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Lee married Deanna Wietharn in Baileyville, KS on November 27, 1958. She survives. He is also survived by a son Kevin (Kathy McCarty) Heideman of Sierra Vista, AZ, a daughter Kristi (Lance) Bolen of Emporia, KS and four grandchildren, Kalie Heideman of Salina, KS, Kyle Heideman of Los Angeles, CA, Cale and Morgan Bolen both of Emporia, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Barbara Jean Heideman. Mr. Heideman was cremated. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home with sharing of memories beginning at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, at Christ the King Catholic Church.
