Margaret "Jeannine" Rodecap, 85, of Topeka, KS, died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born January 10, 1930 in Belvue, KS, the daughter of George and Margaret (Kennedy) Wege. Jeannine was a Charter Member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, flower gardening, playing cards, especially pitch, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She married Virgil H. Rodecap on August 24, 1948 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2011. Jeannine is survived by her children, Ronald (Faye) Rodecap of Carbondale, Douglas (Joanne) Rodecap of Topeka, Robert (Laura) Rodecap of Hudson Oaks, TX, a daughter, Jeanne (Gary) Kahle, of Topeka, a sister, Mary Jo Horton of Tucson, AZ. Eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren also survive. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wege and a step great-grandson. Jeannine will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Meriden.
