Javier Othon Ayala, 70, of Topeka, died March 27, 2015 at his home. Javier was born on July 2, 1944 in Guanacevi, Durango Mexico, the son of Jose Ramon Ayala Nuez and Candelaria Bolivar Guzmn. He was the owner of bakeries, a tortilleria, and grocery stores in Mexico before moving to the United States. Javier enjoyed gambling and spending time with his family. He married Maria Guadalupe Silva-Rubio in 1967 in Torreon, Coah, Mexico. She survives. Javier is also survived by his sons, Francisco Ayala, Jose Ayala, and Victor Hugo, all of Topeka, his daughters, Maria Guadalupe Ayala of Topeka and Susana Ayala of Mexico, sisters, Rebeca Ayala and Eusebia Ayala, both of Mexico, and 17 grandchildren. Javier will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
