Connor Darson Ames, 23, of Oak Grove, Missouri, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Center Point Medical Center due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Connor was born on August 4, 1991 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Darlold and Susan (Fountaine) Ames. He attended Topeka and Silver Lake Schools. He worked for Speedco as a diesel mechanic and technician. He enjoyed car modification, going for a cruise, motor cross racing, watching boxing, hanging out with friends and loved dogs. First and foremost, his family was the most important thing in his life. He is survived by his mother, Susan Ames, father, Darlold Ames, both of Topeka, fiancé, Arden Redman of Oak Grove, Missouri, a daughter Maddy Nichole Ames of California and his second child will be born later this year, two brothers, Clinton (Jessica) Golden of Silver Lake, Kansas, and Lars R. Ames of Topeka, two sisters, Crystal (Jocky) Alexander-Dennis of Oak Grove, and Alanna J. Ames of Topeka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Chance, Chase, Chyenne and Ciara Alexander, and Ava Golden. Connor was cremated. His family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Connor Ames Children's Education and Care Fund, sent in care of the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
