Margaret Catherine Shafer

Margaret Catherine Shafer, 77, of Topeka, KS died March 15, 2015 at Aldersgate Village. She was born January 25, 1938 in Mayetta, the daughter of John and Viola (Jones) Cummings. She is survived by her sons, Steven Moody, Mark Moody, Marvin Moody, and William Moody, four brothers, Leonard Cummings, Theodore Cummings, Anthony Cummings, and Richard Cummings, three sisters, Mildred Shucker, Vera Mae Cummings, and Mary Ann Waltman. Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Moody, and her siblings, John, Francis, Cornelius, Gerald, Theresa and Anna Laura. Margaret was cremated. Graveside inurnment service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Hoyt, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to Grace Hospice or to the Aldersgate Village, sent in care of the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
